Haiti teams update, January 6
Thank you for checking in, and for your continued prayers for our teams as they prepare to leave for Haiti in just over two weeks. A few more suitcases, lost on the December Haiti trip, have made their way back to Lawrence. Apparently only one or two suitcases (including one that was full of medicine and medical supplies) are still missing. It isn't clear where the suitcases have been all this time, but at least most of them have come back!
Our next two teams will leave on January 23 and January 30, respectively--eight people will stay and work in Haiti for the full two weeks. We are hearing that we will possibly be working on building the new school that is being constructed on the new property, adjacent to the original children's village, the same property on which we built a boys' transition house last year. If so, we will very likely be laying concrete block all week--hard work, and plenty of it.
Watch the blog for more information about our team. If you are an LFMC attender, please stop by the Haiti trip table in the lobby and pick up a couple of team member prayer cards and sign up to pray while we're gone. We so appreciate your prayers!
