Welcome Class
One of the best ways to learn about the Lawrence Free Methodist Church is to attend the Welcome Class, a one-time introductory class that meets on the third Sunday of every month in the parlor, located to your right when you enter the foyer from the front doors. Your hosts will introduce you to the various ministries of the church, answer your questions, and even give you a guided tour of the place so you'll know your way around next time.
Newcomers' Dinners
If you are interested in meeting other people in the church and getting to know Bill Bump, the Senior Pastor, and his wife, Marcy, make plans to attend one of our Newcomers' Dinners. Dinners are offered several times a year. If you're interested in attending one, please contact Sheri Birch.
Membership Class
The membership class is for attenders who are interested in learning more about the mission of our church and what we believe. The class is typically held from 3:00 — 6:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoons. If you would like to attend a class, please contact Rick Ostrander, Pastor of Outreach and Pastoral Care, to find out when the next one is offered.
Social Activities
LFMC is a great place connect with people who have similar interests. In addition to groups like Mothers of Preschoolers (a semi-monthly gathering for moms of little ones) and Primetimers (monthly lunches and programs for those who are 50+), we also have sports teams, a scrapbooking group, golf outings, and an adoption group. Check out our Social Activities page for all of our groups.
Spiritual Gifts Class
We believe that every member of our church is a minister. During this class, you'll learn how God has wired you by giving you spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality and experience to equip you to minister to others in need. This class is offered several times a year. For information, contact Pastor Rick Ostrander.
